Cabins
If traditional camping isn't your style, Thornton's Resort and Campgrounds offers many cabin options to accommodate your entire group. Each cabin is fully furnished. Our cabins are open year-round for all of your outdoor activities and are on the Iron Snowshoe Snowmobile Trail. Pets are welcome. There is a $10 fee per night per dog. Kids under the age of 11 are FREE. All cabins have their own yard with a fire pit and picnic table. Just bring your own towels.
Two Bedroom, One Bathroom Cabins
We have three two-bedroom fully furnished cabins. There is a double bed in each bedroom and a full size futon in the living room area. Cabins have full kitchens, heat, and a bathroom with a shower. Linens are provided except for the foldout futons. Stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee makers are provided for your convenience.
Rates
- $115 per night for two people, $10 per night for each additional person
- $525.00 for one week for two people, $10 per night for each additional person
- Kids under the age of 11 are FREE
Three Bedroom, Two Bathroom Cabin
Our three-bedroom, two-bath modern mobile home sleeps up to eight people. It has two queen beds, two twin beds and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room area. A minimum of two night stay is required.

- $175.00 per night for up to four, $10 per night for each additional person
- $950.00 for one week for four people, $10 per night for each additional person
- Kids under the age of 11 are FREE
Three Bedroom, One Bathroom Cabin
We also have a three-bedroom, one bath cabin that sleeps up to ten people. It has two queen beds, two twin beds and two additional full-size futons in the living room area.

Activities in the Area
Our Bar & Restaurant
Adjacent to our campgrounds is our bar and restaurant, Camp Inn. Our large bar provides fun for the whole family. A pool table, dart machine, foosball table and video games are all available to you. Live music or a D.J. provide entertainment on the weekends. We serve hamburgers, fried foods, great locally made pizzas and snacks.
Caldron Lake
Caldron Lake, a 1300 acre full recreation lake is just across the road (within easy walking distance) from the resort for swimming, fishing and boating. A free public boat launch has just been added. Everything from golfing, horseback riding, hiking, site-seeing and the best waterfall tour in the state of Wisconsin are within a short distance from Thornton's Resort.
UTV/ATV Trails
Guests can access both the north and south ATV/UTV trails from our resort. Cabins and camping directly on the trail system.
